St. Robert of Newminster

Shorewood, Wisconsin

Exterior Gallery:

Interior Gallery:

Unfortunately I was able to visit while the interior lights were off, so I didn’t get very good interior photos except for the stained glass windows.

Stained Glass Windows:

There’s so much salvation history and typology captured in these windows that it’s impossible to give them simple labels. I’d like to spend a few days of silent retreat in this church with a Bible, just to process these beautiful windows.

You can read a guidebook to the church and the stained glass windows here. (Opens a PDF)

Welcome to Small Catholic

I’m fascinated by contrasts and have long enjoyed the concept of smallness, perhaps especially in the context of the wonder that comes from gazing up into the dome of St. Peter’s Basilica or enjoying the vastness of a starry sky.

I’m a Catholic, deacon-candidate-wife, mom/mom-in-law to 7; retired homeschool mom & parish DRE; ADHD, Celiac, HSP; I love learning and writing.
