The tabernacle is to be situated in churches in a most worthy place with the greatest honor. A tabernacle is a beautiful and lockable dwelling for Jesus in the Eucharist. When we genuflect in church, we are pointing our bodies towards the tabernacle and making ourselves “small” before the greatness of Jesus. (To genuflect means to bend the knee.)
