It seems an appropriate post for Lent to point out that there are now 40 different Stations of the Cross (represented by the 12th station) on our Stations of the Cross Page.

The variety is interesting of course, but also the similarity. Clearly a number of the three dimensional stations came from the same artist/mold.

Here are a few of my favorites, but click through above for the entire collection.

Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis – Saint Louis, Missouri
Saint Monica Church – Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin
Saint Peter Church – Old World Wisconsin
National Shrine of Saint Maximilian Kolbe at Marytown, Illinois
The Basilica of the National Shrine of Our Lady Help of Christians at Holy Hill, WI

Welcome to Small Catholic

I’m fascinated by contrasts and have long enjoyed the concept of smallness, perhaps especially in the context of the wonder that comes from gazing up into the dome of St. Peter’s Basilica or enjoying the vastness of a starry sky.

I’m a Catholic, deacon-candidate-wife, mom/mom-in-law to 7; retired homeschool mom & parish DRE; ADHD, Celiac, HSP; I love learning and writing.
